Welcome to our Faculty Professional Development Event for Publishing. In our
quarterly CAM meetings faculty expressed interest in hearing more about the
various types of opportunities for publishing that may be available to you. Topics
of interest expressed included finding the right publications for your work, and
timelines and requirements you may expect to encounter when attempting to
have your work published. In response to your interests, we organized a virtual
publishing fair.
In this two-day asynchronous session we are pleased to introduce you to Editors
from 10 different journals. You can meet the Editors and learn more about their
journals by visiting the Forum we created for each journal. In a Welcome Note, the
Editor provides you with an introduction to the journal. Several Editors present
opportunities for you to become a reviewer for their journal. Also in each journal
forum is a fact sheet inclusive of an overview of the editorial scope and aims of the
journal, sample copies of issues, author guidelines, and contact information. Each
forum contains a thread for you to communicate with the Editor and ask questions
or offer comments about getting published in their journal. The Editors will be
checking in twice per day to answer questions.
We hope you find the information from each publisher helpful and that the contacts
you make give rise to the opportunity to publish or engage in other capacities with
our journal hosts. Enjoy the event!
